What does it mean when a guy friend won't look you in they eye anymore?

We're friends, but not that close. We hang out in groups and text each other sometimes, but nothing major. Two years ago I liked him and I thought he liked me back (to this day I'm not sure), but it got screwed up and it fell apart. And we didn't talk for a year. So he asked my best friend to Homecoming in October and since then we've become friends. No romantic feelings.





Nowww he USED to look me in the eyes when we talked, but he doesn't anymore. I've noticed it over the past month or so. It's not like he's afraid to make eye contact, more of he just unconciously doesn't look me in the eye anymore.





Now I'm not asking, ';OMG iz he in luvvvvv with me!!!?!'; because I know he's not, but in your experience, what does that usually mean?





He likes a girl named Kasha, who is tall, blonde, and blue eyed like me. She is also very nice.





He can be shy, especially when it's one on one, but when it's a group, he's very outgoing and funny.





And I want to ask him to Sadie's. Good idea or bad?What does it mean when a guy friend won't look you in they eye anymore?
Gosh.. This one's a toughy. Well, this is gunna sound like a romance movie, and those are SO unreal, but it might give you a tip from it. You casually talk to him, and then ask him to look in your eyes.


You: ';Look me in the eyes.';


Him: ';Wtf, why?';


You: ';I need to ask you something..but I don't think I can if you refuse to look at me.';


Him: ';...';





This is more realistic:





You: ';I hear Sadie's is coming up.. Are you going with anyone?';


Him: ';Not really.'; (HOPEFULLY)


You: ';Do you want to go together? Y'know, as friends?';








He might say yes...who knows?
