To me, they are either being less than truthful or are not confident or unsure about what they are saying. They don't want to see your reaction to what they are saying until they have fininshed. It's all about insecurity. In some cases, I suppose concentration could be a factor, such as wanting to choose one's words carefully without the distraction of a visual image.Why do people close eyes when talking instead of looking you in the eye?

Some are trying to concentrate; some are lying...
maybe you put people to sleep. eh?
They are either lying about something or they have a low self esteem.
to some people direct eye contact is seen as someone trying to intimidate them.
