Depends really. Brown goes for a more softer look and black really makes them pop. It's best on the top, but if you want to put a thin line on the bottom.Does brown eyeliner or black eyeliner look better w/ brown eyes? Does it look better on the top or bottom?
I say brown eyeliner. It really depends on what skin color you have as well. Example: I am VERY fair skinned and have dark brown eyes. If I apply black eyeliner, I look sick, pale and ghostly. Someone of darker skin probably could pull it off better then I could.





During the day, black eyeliner is too harsh, brown would be a better option.





The eyeliner looks better if you have a thin line(as close to the eyelash line as possible) and on the bottom(halfway). Make sure it is blended well.
I have brown eyes and I use black pretty much any day I wear eyeliner. I put it on my top and bottom waterlines.


Another color that looks really good on brown eyes is Lust, by Urban decay, its a dark-bright purple. I'll use lust on my bottom waterline, and black on the, but put on Lust first!
i would go with black eyeliner for brown eyes

i have golden brown eyes but when i wear black it accents them and makes them darker if i wear brown it accents them in the opposite way and makes them lighter up to you on how dark you want your eye color to look
Brown eyeliner on the bottom lashes, a light purple on the lid.

i use brown eyeliner on top sometimes, and other times i use black on the bottom. :)
